How Merkle Tree-Based Proof of Reserves Works

BTCC's PoR employs a reliable Merkle Tree verification mechanism, which is transparent, uses hierarchical hash verification, and is tamper-resistant. This mechanism is widely used in blockchain and has gained high recognition in the crypto market.

User asset data is encrypted and recorded in the leaf nodes of the Merkle Tree. Subsequently, all leaf node information is computed and hashed layer by layer to generate the root node, forming the Merkle Tree. The root node records the platform's total assets.

Through this structure, BTCC can convert large and complex data into smaller, easily verifiable data sets, enabling fast, efficient, and reliable asset audits.

Based on this, users can not only verify their account balances but also confirm BTCC's overall reserve status, thereby enhancing asset transparency and effectively protecting each user's funds.

Verification Steps

  1. Log in to your BTCC account and click on the "Proof of Reserves" link at the bottom of the homepage.

  1. Open "View My Report." BTCC periodically releases PoR reports based on asset snapshots.

  1. Click on "Details" in the report and copy the Merkle Tree leaf hash ID.

  1. Go to the Proof of Reserves page, paste the Merkle Tree leaf hash ID into the input box to verify. A successful verification indicates that your assets are secure.

Here, users can view their personal account assets recorded in BTCC's Merkle Tree and the platform's reserve ratio.
